International experts are of high opinion about the work of SKVC

2017-09-06

After the international evaluation coordinated by European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), activities of the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) were assessed as substantially meeting all the requirements for such agencies. The purpose of ENQA evaluation was to demonstrate the level of compliance of SKVC work to the provisions of Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG-2015). Currently, SKVC fully meets nine standards and substantially complies with five standards and guidelines.

„This assessment of international experts is very important at both Lithuanian and European level. This means that SKVC is fully in line with the requirements for such agencies in EHEA. To summarize, we are moving at the same pace as our partners Europe, working with highly motivated staff of our agency, with colleagues in Lithuanian academia and other stakeholders, together with the best national and international experts in the field, in the name of the ultimate goal of improving quality of studies“ says Ms Nora Skaburskienė, Director of SKVC.

The highest evaluation also enables SKVC to act as a full member of ENQA and will provide basis for the application to renew our membership in EQAR, the register of trustworthy quality assurance agencies.

The evaluation was carried out on the basis of a self-evaluation prepared by SKVC, which has been produced by consulting with various stakeholders involved in the quality of higher education: administrative and academic staff within Lithuanian universities and colleges , SKVC experts from higher education institutions, students, as well as labour market representatives.
