Ukraine calls for to avoid cooperation with Russian higher education institutions established in Crimea

2023-07-19

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania has released a statement calling for to avoid cooperation with Russian higher education institutions established in Crimea. Ukraine expresses its concern that the relevant authorities have noticed that several Russian higher education institutions have opened their branches and representative offices in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which is temporarily occupied in the territory of Ukraine. One of the purposes of these branches  is to establish international cooperation between such higher education institutions and higher education institutions in third countries. Ukraine considers these actions as an attempt to legitimise the annexation of Crimea and calls on the international community to refrain from cooperating with illegal Russian higher education institutions located in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
